You may want to get a smaller one first, as some folks do not like the smell.
If you can get around or past that, you're onto a cracking good wash powder!0 -

The washing powder doesn't really smell of anything. You can't buy a small box in Costco it's only sold in the big tubs.0

We think that there is quite a strong "chemical" smell when the container is opened, but it does not transfer onto the washed clothing IYSWIMGoing down the Oteley Road to see the Shrewsbury aces! :T0 -
That's the powder I always use and a bucket usually lasts about 6 months (there are usually only 2 of us but seem to generate loads of washing). It is really good, very reasonable and doesn't really smell. Sometimes something in it does make me cough but I would recommend it.0

Oh right thanks maybe if I left the tub open for a while the concentration of the smell would exasperate (spl) into the air and not be so noticable after a while I suppose most things smell stronger once sealed up. Thanks for the info.0 -

Thanks there are four of us (adults) I seem to have one of those wash baskets with no bottom to it lo (i washed 8 bath towels yesterday and theres already another 3 in the laundry basket now to wash) l I even got a new washer with an 8kg load capacity to cut down on wash loads (it does and its great) so hopefully this should make for a very cost effective saving tooI'll make sure not to inhale whilst dosing the washer lol .
