IVA finished need credit card
Hi All, my IVA will be finished at the end of this month, I would like to apply for a credit card to improve my credit score, is there a thread where I can see success stories in getting a credit card ( I am sure I remember seeing one on here)
Also, does anyone know if it is possible to pay money into a credit card ie if the limit is £150 van I pay in say £200 on top of that when we go on holiday?:)
Many thanks

Once your credit rating has recovered you should be able to get a card from whoever you chose.
There are providers also, such as Aqua and Vanquis who specialise in providing cards to customers with poor credit ratings.
Vanquis have given me a card, and my iva is still active. Make sure you clear the balance each month because the apr will be something like 39%0 -

How did you get a card with Vanquis?

I have never had any luck paying credit on to my card, but you can get the pre-payment credit cards which I'd think must be really handy for taking on holiday etc. At least that way you're only spending what you've got.AD March 2014
