Decking for inside garage?

I know this sounds a bit daft, however my garage has been extended to the rear so the concrete floor extends about 4m beyond the front of the car when it's inside the garage.

I've been offered a lot of reasonable quality decking by a work colleague for £0.

Am just thinking about jet-washing the top boards then installing as a sort of giant duck-board across the back of the garage. This would mean the washing machine, freezer, boxes etc. would be sitting on the wood, lifted above the concrete.

Anyone see a reason not to go ahead?

Its your house. Do want you want. It'll keep the damp off your appliances and stop them getting wet if the WM floods.
Eat vegetables and fear no creditors, rather than eat duck and hide.
