In the market for a new car, some advice required please
But here's the catch.
I'm in a bit of a quandary, it's for commuting a 110 mile daily round trip to my office. I get an allowance from work which taking all other motoring costs into account leaves me with a monthly budget just for the car of £400.
I'm looking at an Audi A5 and getting one on pcp is £460 a month (because of the 30k miles I do each year) and if I buy a used one, to fit around the 400 budget I would only have about 16/17k to spend one. Having looked around this will get me a 3/4 year old one with circa 50k miles on. Taking a 4 year loan out to pay it off.
My concern is would a 4 year old one with 50k on the clock be ok to run for another 4 years at 30k a year? Or do you think it is risky going for something of this age to use for such heavy mileage?
Any advice would be much appreciated.

Well my car is getting on for 10 years old and done 170,000 miles.
With regular maintenance and plenty of oil changes then there is no reason why a diesel one wont do 200,000 miles.
But the servicing costs maybe costly. Something cheaper and newer?Censorship Reigns Supreme in Troll City...0 -
Can't say i would be happy running a high mileage Audi.
Or a used Audi over a high mileage.
Audi owners always seem to be among the worst at running them on a shoestring.
The A5 seems a nice looking car.
Not to my taste.
I wouldn't get a used one from an Audi dealer as they only carry expensive stock.
I much prefer company owned or leased vehicles as they have not been run on a shoestring.0
