:(any advice please? I had my first contract phone last year, from Carphone warehouse. they recommended Talkmobile for me but when I got the phone, I couldnt connect anywhere, send texts etc etc, so totally useless. I took it back to the shop, where they agreed it was the wrong supplier etc and cancelled the contract. this was within days of having it, i cant remember how long, but it was dealt with well. this was prob about October 2013. In March 2014, I received a demand from TM saying I owed £11.35, so I rang and explained. they agreed it was their error, gave me a reference and that was that. at the end of March, I get another demand £250+, rang again, same thing. copious notes have been made but then I had an email from BCW. I dont know how they got the email account as I am v private about my stuff, anyway, I didnt reply, of course. Googled them to see who they were and knew immediately what it was about. rang TM again, still same story. Then I received a letter from BCW within a day, more money. I rang TM again and said this is very stressful, even though I know I dont owe the money, when are you going to sort it out. now, today, I have a phone call from BCW. I am ex directory. this is now v v stressful for me. what can I do now? I just want them to stop pestering me and does this go on my credit file please?

It can go on your credit file as these idiots are allowed to do so. Best check.
Don't phone these people, you need hard evidence of letters.
Write to BCW, headed 'formal complaint' highlighting what you said above. Send signed for or get proof of posting and state in the letter you gave done so.
Also insist on compensation for the stress, your time and postage costs.
They will pass on to TM as needed.
Also state you insist on dealing in writing only and any calls after 7 days will result in further complaints.:beer:0 -
thanks. i will wait for 2 weeks as that is what TM said it would take (this time) to sort it and I asked them to write to me and advise that it has been sorted. once I have that, I will write to both of them and raise the issue of the credit file. i thought it went on there! no one likes being hassled for something they dont owe and it makes my tummy go into a real knot. the woman at BCW prob just thought "yah right" but they should really be checking it all out before they pounce on people - will report back in 2/3 weeks0
