Hardly surprising when you read this statement from their “Technical advice for using the online State Pension statement e-service”:
https://www.gov.uk/government/uploads/system/uploads/attachment_data/file/303516/technical-guidance-250314.pdf
“The State Pension statement e-service was originally designed to work with Internet Explorer version 4 and Netscape version 4.6. As such, it may be problematic with some modern operating systems and browsers…..
We are currently looking at ways to improve this online service to meet the Government Digital Services browsers and devices standard
If you do experience technical problems using the e-service that you cannot resolve, you can also apply for a statement by post or telephone”.0 -
There's Good News ... Hooray! :j
My State Pension Award letter finally arrived today confirming what I'll be getting paid and miracle upon miracles, it actually appears to be accurate.
and there's Bad News ... Boo!
Tried to use the Pension Statement eService to get a statement for my wife ... she's registered and has used the facility before. But it wanted us to confirm details like DOB, Address, etc. which we did ... but every time it came back with error messages saying our information didn't correspond with the information they already have on the system !!!
After numerous attempts we gave up and tried to use their 'interactive' application form that you should be able to populate online and then print off and post ... except that it wasn't interactive at all in IE11, not even with compatibility mode on ... so we ended up having to print it off and hand write the bloody thing!
If this is the Governments idea of modern technology ... Gawd help us if a neighbouring country attacks our systems with a ZX Spectrum!!! :rotfl:... DaveHappily retired and enjoying my 14th year of leisureI am cleverly disguised as a responsible adult.Bring me sunshine in your smile0 -
Since last Thursday there has been an issue trying to access the state pension forecast online. I have today spoken to their help desk and confirm there is an issue and are still working on the problem.
UPDATE.
Site down again and has been for a few days. I rang their helpline yesterday and suggested they put a message on their site to advise people of the problems.
