Since last Thursday there has been an issue trying to access the state pension forecast online. I have today spoken to their help desk and confirm there is an issue and are still working on the problem.

Oh dear - it seems to have lost the "known facts" as it seems to go straight into the enrollment process even though I have been enrolled for the service from the very beginning.

It "may" be connected to the new tax year having just started.

So DWP know about it but they havent put up a screen telling people? Clever!

I wonder who the IT system provider is?

Yes it would have been very helpful and would have saved me the cost of telephone call to an 0845 number.

Still not working today. Surely they could put a message up to the effect it is not working and they are trying to resolve the issue.

Hmmm, my state pension was due to commence last Friday but I've still not had anything in writing to confirm how much I'm entitled to. I wonder if the computer problems are creating a backlog?

Different computer systems involved even though both do source information from the HMRC NPS (previously NIRS2) computer system.

My brother reached SPA a week or so ago and has also not received confirmation yet. There is still time, depending on the payday and cycle as the four weekly payments are spread out over the four weeks. The first payment may be for less than four weeks.
