It doesn't matter if you have a sick note that covers you or not, after 2 1/2 years on the sick they can still dismiss you on the grounds of capability.

You have two choices really, ring them up and ask or write and ask. Unless you do one of these you won't know, personally I would ring.

Do you want to go back to work yet? If you do then I would be in touch to make arrangements for that. If you don't then I would just leave them alone, why does it matter what's going on if you aren't ready to return?

I would expect your employment would be terminated at some point as that really is a long time to be on sick leave. Presumably it's best for you for this to be as late as possible? So why draw their attention to your situation?

What is it that you need to find out?

I do know a sick note doesn't make you invincible, after 2 and half years,I know they can dismiss me,why they have not I do not know, maybe they don't like paying out notice or holiday owed,I will address them in a letter then I am covered, phone calls in the pass have got me nowhere and if I don't get correspondence from there side then I will not know what to do,I just wanted a helping hand on how to address the letter.

You want paid notice and holiday when you've been off sick for 2.5 years?

I don't know how any notice or holiday works,so don't ask me if I want it or not,

What specifically is it that you want from them? You're accruing holiday every day, so you're much better off the longer you're on sick leave.

I'm presuming you're still sick and not fit to work there or elsewhere?

I know i get the holiday, not claimed any for a long while,as the employers hr said i only contacted them when i wanted holiday, even though on sick leave,so i did not ask again.
I just want to draw a line under them to be honest,as seems been going around in circles, different hr's different managers etc,i dont see when i can go back, which they know as they have asked.
If i hand my notice in will i loose out ? If they finish me do i get notice pay or whatever you call it ?
