Velux Roof Dome or Roof Kerb for Flat Roof Extension ?

Dear All,
I am in the process of starting an 5M Rear Extension extending my current kitchen and dining room. I have been recently looking at Velux Windows for Flat Roofs so I can bring natural light to the old build which will become darker when the bay windows are removed.
I am confused on what flat roof windows to purchase. I have looked at the Velux Domes and the Roof Kerbs. What do you guys recommend I go for?
Velux recommend I buy the Velux Domes, however wouldnt the roof kerb with an velux window come at an angle so my current room gets more light.
I want to make the right decision as its going to cost me over £1300.00
Thanks

How about a roof lantern? We're currently doing a similar build and are having one of those to maximise light and make an interesting feature.0

The cost would be too high with a roof lantern plus we want to keep ceiling space for fancy down lights.if i had known then what i know now0

Hi Guys,
I am still unsure of what option to go for? How effective are roof kerbs over the dome. The effective daylight per square metre is higher on the dome than the kerb.if i had known then what i know now0
