There is so much on facebook that does not work. Take for instance the "unfollow" option.

I am afraid I want to unfollow many of my prolific "likers and sharers" friends and I have lost count of how many times I have clicked to unfollow, to be told I will not see any more posts from XYZ. Five minutes later, their likes and shares are back on my timeline.

I hate the way Facebook dictates to us what we can cannot see and we don't really get the choice of what we want to see.

I won yesterday and only saw it by accident tonight, I wasn't looking for it I mean. Lady said she had tagged me but it didn' show up in my notifications. Is there a way to turn taggiing on?

    Go onto facebook news feed.

Click on little padlock second in on top right hand corner.

    Click on show more settings.

    Click on notifications, check settings.

Click on timeline and tagging, check settings.

    Hope this helps :)

How does setting FB news feed to "most recent" mean you will see notifications if youve won? does it mean you have to trawl through mountains of posts in case youve won?

I heard they were cutting down on what you'd see from companies unless you were interacting with them, so commenting on posts and such.

Can't remember where I saw that, but its annoying.

I'll read a company's posts but it doesn't mean I want to go to the page, or comment regularly...

It doesn't and yes you would have to trawl through loads of posts. Sticking things on "most recent" helps facebook posts appear on your feed in time and date order rather than all willy nilly like it appears when you have it set on "top stories", makes it easier to search through

    From my post:
There's a function that can make things a bit easier but not much on Facebook.
    Which is.....
Go onto your Facebook page, there is a drop down arrow on the right hand side of the settings "cog" on the top right hand side of your page.

Click on it and then click "Activity log" and it takes you through in date and time order your activity on facebook. If you share comp posts, you can click on "Your posts" on the right hand side menu and it will take you through in date and time order all of your posts.
But this could also be of some help......
Also, makesure your settings on your facebook news feed are set to "Most recent" rather than "Top stories", if you are having a search for wins via your news feed. You can do this by being on your news feed and on the top right hand side menu under your profile pic it says "News Feed" click on that and it will give you the two options, click on "most recent"

Unfortunately unless you keep a rigid record of everything you enter on facebook or someone sticks winners names on the facebook winners thread, it's not easy finding out if you have won at all if they don't tag you or PM you.
