Well a little confusion with my Higgidy voucher - they don't stock the pies anywhere round here so redeemed against the quiches instead. However it tried to take off £3.75 from a £2.50 quiche in Sainsburys, so I ended up having to pay £1.25 for the second quiche. I did get the voucher back though so tried it against a £1.99 quiche in Boots and it did the same - I was prewarned though this time and also put through a £1.99 bottle of shampoo - only had to pay 23p for both! So I figure £1.48 for 3 quiches and a bottle of shampoo is ok.

While in Boots I also picked up a free mOma muesli and my Benefit sample.

    Evening all,
Busy day but not a lot of it money-saving, so the bits I have done that were good for the budget were:
*Saved energy by doing laundry overnight on Economy 7, line-drying everything, sharing bath water, opening windows to let fresh air get rid of condensation instead of turning de-humidyfier on.
*Meals as per meal plans. Used the last of the rubber ham with some pasta, etc.
    *Watered veggies.
*Potted up more seedlings for swaps with family members. Mostly free seeds.
*Tipped out my big pots of dead daffodils, de-headed them & planted them out in the garden to fill empty spaces in the borders for free.
*Made tomorrow's packed lunch & works snacks.
*Did surveys. Cashed in Ipsos Mori points yesterday for a £10 John Lewis voucher & cashed in Toluna points tonight for same - Both going in Kenwood Chef fund :-)
    *Posted ebay parcel.
*My turn to have the car today but avoided going into town as have an expensive couple of weekends coming up & I felt I could do without any further temptations.
*mr f got the bus to work which is a bit cheaper than us buying the equivalent amount of petrol.
*Use-it-up campaign is ongoing. Finished up a hair conditioner today which I thought was empty last week, but having put some water in it & shaken it up, there was plenty left to do another 3 washes. Almost at the end of the weird gluey lip gloss I found lurking at the back of my make-up drawer. I shan't be sad to see the back of that!
OK, that's it for today's small penny-saving things, but I am about to finish off a rather pretty handknitted sock for the present box, so that counts too.
    Goodnight,
