ppi iva finished

hi can anyone help i finished an iva 2 years ago. About 2 months ago i recieved a letter from the bank to say i could claim ppi i filled in the forms and i recieved a figure from them the other day. ive heard that the can keep the money for themselves. i contacted cab they said the money should be mine. any help guys or am i just building my hopes up.
