LW - That's a good carrot and oranges idea, I might try that. do you use from frozen?
No, I defrost them in the fridge overnight; as cake-making is one of those tasks that has to be planned in advance to make sure my hands are rested beforehand, this isn't a problem.:o If I forget to take them out of the freezer, I defrost in the microwave.;)

Thanks for your kind words LW, I really need to push myself as after a while sitting is just as uncomfortable as standing or walking!
I agree - I get up and [STRIKE]walk[/STRIKE] hobble about for a few minutes after sitting for half an hour or so, these days, to stop everything getting "set".

    LW How are your wrists?
Sadly no improvement; but as I mentioned to meanmarie yesterday, I'm getting good at finding alternative methods of doing things. For instance, I pinched a webbing belt of Mr LW's (he doesn't use it) and thread the dogs' extender leads onto that for walkies, and fasten it over my fleece. It probably looks weird, but I don't care if it makes taking them out easier.:o It does look as if I'm stuck with weak and painful wrists on a permanent basis, though, which is a bit of a blow.
If your dog thinks you're the best, don't seek a second opinion.;)

Sitting on the bench in my front garden sunning myself as I was freezing in the kitchen as it faces north. Perusing cook books and just chilling out. Heaven.

Bought clothes for kids, 25% at Mr S so that's saved a bit of money thank goodness.
Time for a cuppa and a slice of cake :D

LW gentle Wolfe hugs for you. Bit of a bummer about your wrists :( xx

Snoozer positive vibes for DD's boyfriend x

  • Another lovely day.

Went to town this morning to get some bits for a picnic as we are going to the zoo tomorrow, I am really excited, we haven't been since the children were small.

DH and DS have finished building the woodstore they have made it out of old pallets and it looks pretty impressive, they have just started on a coal storeand when it is finished we will get a bag of coal a week so when winter gets here we will not have to fork out lots of money all at once, plus it would be difficult to get to the farm if the weather is bad.

Molly and JackieO I hope that you are feeling a bit better today xxxx
Blessed are the cracked for they are the ones that let in the light

    Hello x
Many thanks for the good wishes - you all help me so much:A

I managed to escape yesterday and it was such a good decision but getting home was so painful. Starting to get appetite back and feeling brighter but still a long road to travel - lets hope it is not so bumpy as the M1 I travelled along yesterday - I felt every bump.

Had my 20 clips out today so feel more comfy but have the attention of a gnat so please forgive me if I don't reply or forget x

Hope Jackie O doing ok too xx

    with hugs xx
I must not fear. Fear is the mind-killer.
Fear is the little-death that brings total obliteration.
I will face my fear. I will permit it to pass over and through me. When it has gone past I will turn the inner eye to see its path.
When the fear has gone there will be nothing. Only I will remain.
  • So pleased to see you are home Molly. Take things steady now.

    Love and hugs

    Evening :hello:
Glad you are home molly take care and look after yourself.
For the first time in about a year I have been really busy at work, only because one of my colleagues is off until end of next week. Was nice though as although it was very stressful the day went faster.
Remembered to hang some washing out this morning, had a stew in the cooker and went for a run when I got home. Now showered, tidied everything away and just caught up on today :)
Snoozer good luck to your daughters BF.
Waiting for my OH to get back home and have his tea and going to have a lie down for now as feeling a little sick :(
Christmas is the most magical time of the year :santa2:
