egg loan PPI repayment. 15 years later

Hi Guys
I took out an egg personal loan in the late nineties and repaid it in full in the early 2000's. The loan included monthly PPI insurance. I believe I was mis-sold the ppi. The trouble is that I no longer have any of the paper-work.. So no account number, no ppi ref etc. Not sure how to go about any possible reclaim. I'm sure it won't be easy. Has anybody on this forum had a successful ppi claim with EGG going back over 12 years? If so I'd love to hear how you did it.
Any advice would be greatly appreciated.
Thanks.

You complain to "Canada Square Operations" and, if they still hold details of your finance, then they will consider your concerns. Without any documentation or account details from your own archive, however, you are at a distinct disadvantage with loan PPI this old.
Do note that, in addition, you'll need to have valid complaint reasons..0 -
I recently had a successful complaint against Egg (via Canada Square Operations, PO Box 4903, Worthing, BN99 3AR) and they are looking at one from pre 2000 for me, pending receipt of some further information re identity.
It seems that if they can locate one of your accounts, they can find them all, as they must be linked somehow - my pre 2000 one is one I had forgotten about and have no paperwork for..
To locate your accounts, according to the letter they sent me, these are examples of evidence needed: name and address history, date of birth, verification of current address such as recent bank statement or utility bill, and proof of identity such as a certified copy of a current passport.
Hope this helps. (From my experience so far, it was definitely worth the trouble, but I did have a very clear cut case of misselling).Official DFW Nerd No 096 - Proud to have dealt with my debt!0 -
thanks very much for your reply. i think i'll give it a go. reading up about mis-selling it would seem the ppi would have been useless to me in the event of a claim.0
