Use comparison site to change tarrif of same company for freebie?

I'm planning on changing tarrifs with my existing supplier of gas and electric. Could I still use a comparrion website to do this just to get a cuddly toy or will the fact that it's the same company mess up the switch? :huh:

Yeah I suspect it will throw a wobbly if I try, so I'm just seeing if anyone has tried this before. I know it confuses car insurance enough when cancelling from them just to join back to them.

Comp sites get paid for switching customers to rival suppliers. Why do you think they would pay you to switch tariffs with the same supplier?
For a tariff change with the same supplier just contact them, or switch online via your account and it should be done almost instantly.
