I'm wondering now of my 'winter' tyres are really all-season. They have the snowflake on a mountain peak symbol but they also say M&S. How can I tell if they are really winter tyres?

    What are they?

All winters & all-seasons are M+S rated - that marking just says that there's a certain %age of void to tread block, and grooves that go clear from one sidewall to the other.
