Distributing Sky around house

My parents have just moved house, and have asked me to try and sort this for them...
They want to be able to watch Sky in several rooms, but only have one box. The main aerial goes into a store room, connected to an 8 way distributor, whichever then goes to 8 co-ax sockets throughout the house. The existing Sky cable comes through the same store room and then onto the Sky box in the next room.
Would it be feasible to put the Sky box into the storeroom, plug the main aerial input into it, and then plug the RF2 output into the distributor. I know they will then need 'magic eyes' at each tv, but I wondered if this would work?
Thanks
( 2 of there existing tvs are older and don't have free view, so this would mean digiboxes would not be needed-hopefully)

You could put the sky box in the store room but how would you change channel? I'm not sure if the "magic eye" things allow you to change channel so I'm happy to be corrected on this.
The output from the sky box into the distributor should work, but everyone would have to watch the same channel (as the signal is coming from the same box).
Is the distributor powered (i.e. do you plug it into the mains as a signal booster as well)?:wall: Flagellation, necrophilia and bestiality - Am I flogging a dead horse? :wall:
Any posts are my opinion and only that. Please read at your own risk.0 -
in theory it should work
the magic eye setup is done via the RF socket on the sky box then plugged into the ariel socket on the tv and tuned in , if this was sent through multiple connections it should be ok as they will all be using the same RF connection , only downside is as RMG1 states they would all display the same sky channel0 -
The TV Link website will tell you all you need to know.

The Sky box will power a couple of magic eyes beyond that you need one of their other boxes.
If using another distribution amp it needs to have a DC pass through.
As has been pointed out you can only see whats on the main Sky Box.
The Eyes allow the normal Sky remote to control each rooms TV.That gum you like is coming back in style.0 -
