Electric Replacement Pebbles

I want to replace the pebbles on my electric fire. do you have to have special ones and i so where can i buy them?

You're probably right as the heat usually comes from the top of an electric fire and so the bit with the pebbles probably doesnt even get that hot - not that normal pebbles from the beach are flammable! I guess if you were using decorative pebbles like the ones you use for plant displays and candle bowls they might get damaged by heat depending on what they were made from or coated with.0
