carers allowance

If I was over paid carers allowance 9 years ago can they hassle me for repayments now ?

    They can also deduct it from any benefits you get now or in the future.
  • I might be wrong so if i am than please correct me but if it was your fault that you over paid than you have to pay it back but if it wasnt your fault and they over paid you through there own fault than you MIGHT be able to fight the case.

    If it ever got to the point where i have no money to eat. I would go to the police station and break something to get myself arrested. Atleast i would get a warm cell and food and if everyone who get SANCTIONED by the job center did that than the government would have to change there policy about sanctioning so many people on the work program.

    Debts to DWP never die, if an overpayment needs to be repaid it can be claimed from any future benefits you might claim, including state pension or from any estate you might leave when you die.
    The bigger the bargain, the better I feel.

    I should mention that there's only one of me, don't confuse me with others of the same name.
