So my dog Buster has his operation last Monday he had slipped knee in his right knee ( he had no socket for his knee ) he now has 3 pins in his leg and needs to rest for 40 days to begin with this is where the problems starts he started walking on it the next day when he has a wee he stands on it and cocks he left leg and is generally using it to much. Has anyone else had a dog who has had this op or can any one help with how I can stop him using it so much he is in a crate all day and night but just stands up as much as he can ( I think he is doing it to wind me up I getting so stressed as if he carries on he might need another op).

When my Great Dane was on complete rest I found m&c serene-um tablets really helpful. she was much more chilled and able to rest.
I've also used them for a noise-phobic hound and again, it just took the 'edge' off his nerves, without sedating him at all.
Good luck with your lad xSome days you're the dog..... most days you're the tree!
