Personal Injury Claim
Hi All,
Sorry to keep this quite 'narrow'.
But i was involved in an accident recently, which the other vehicle involved has claimed 100% liability for.
A car plowed into the side of my vehicle (at 30mph to 40mph when i was also going 30mph).
Causing me whiplash and concussion.
I have been offered £1,500 personal injury claim by the other insurers. I am tempted to take as its easy, but a lot of people are telling me not to and to hold off.
Anyone have any useful advice that may have been in a similar situation?.
Many Thanks

The best advice is that no one can judge a settlement based only on the information you have given.
Has the whiplash subsided yet or are you still suffering? You shouldnt consider a settlement until you know how long you will be suffering either because you are now all better or because a medical professional has said you're as good as you'll realistically ever get and the remaining problems are life long0 -
Yeah sounds a plan.
I'm defo still hurting. Felt a bit pressured by the other insurers to give them an answer. As i like taking the 'easy' route.0 -
Ask the insurers to have you properly assessed by a doctor (at their cost). Sounds like a standard amount they just offer everyone, that. If they're still not playing ball then you may have to resort to the dreaded no win no fee outfits, but make sure you go to one that pays YOU commission, not some claims management company!0

As above.
Hold out until you know the extent of your injuries. Sounds low though.0 -
How long ago did this happen?
IMV you need at least 18months to 2 years to make sure there are no further complications. You can't go back after signing for a Full & Final settlement.0
