Yes this was a template to another PPC.

This is for my dad, and unfortunately I don't have the PCN in front of me. As for photos, I don't have but I guess I have to go there to see for myself.

    Thanks cola99.

I think the one you've chosen was for Athena at a Lidl car park - they attempt to use a contractual terms model. Much of what's in the first section of that appeal is very specific to the actual wording used by Athena on their signage and would not apply to METand especially if they, as I think do, use a breach of contract model.

If you're doing the legwork for your dad in drafting the appeal for him then I would say you do need to see the specific wording used in the PCN and on the signage if possible and providing you don't live too far away of course.

There are templates that were written for MET in the How to Win at POPLA link that you'll find in post #3 of the NEWBIES sticky thread (1st post on main page of the forum) that may be a better starting point for you than the one above.

If you search the forum for 'MET POPLA' as keywords you should find a few examples easily but I think there's two or three MET one in the NEWBIES thread links in post #3 of that sticky thread 'How to win at POPLA'.

As regards the complaint, we find that local McD's Managers cancel these all the time. The Head Office are not so reliable, so I would complain locally and see if the manager is one of those who routinely cancel these.

    Thanks @Coupon-mad

I have checked the newbies thread for appeal against MET and will submit an appeal by internet.

I intend on sending a letter to McDonalds (included in a post above), should I also send a copy of the POPLA appeal letter with it?

Nope they won't know what it is. I would phone the McDonald's manager (or call in again with the stupid fake PCN letters) and wouldn't even complain nationally as we know they are no help. Whereas local McD Managers cancel these all the time.

Hi all, just a quick update,

    Just received a letter from POPLA as follows;

The Operator issued parking charge notice number xxxxxxxxxxx arising
out of a presence on private land, of a vehicle with registration mark
    xxxxxxx.

The Appellant appealed against liability for the parking charge.

The Assessor has considered the evidence of both parties and has
determined that the appeal be allowed.

The Assessor’s reasons are as set out.

The Operator should now cancel the parking charge notice forthwith.

I just want to say thank you to everyone who helped and gave great advice.

    :)

Congratulations cola109 - pleased to hear you won

When you get a chance could you post the full ruling (make sure you blank out any identifying details) and the assessors name on the POPLA Decisions thread please.

    Congratulations ... Told you so!

Did Met supply any evidence? Did you get sent an evidence pack?
