Scottish Power - terrible company
So where do i begin.
I got a letter early feb with an estimated bill of £429.
I am a council tenant and was awaiting for my heating to be changed from a coal fire to a gas boiler. 1 week before the boiler was due to go in a got this bill.
I called them and waited near an hour to get through. When i did i explained that i have not got gas in yet. i checked and the meter had been installed in October (unbeknown to me).
The advisor said she would get the bill dropped to Zero. Happy days. Only to then recieve a new bill 2 weeks later for £19.43.
I called again, waiting near an hour again (and remember SP isnt the biggest energy provider out there) and had another rant, this time the agent wasnt as helpful. Anyway the end of the call he agreed to get it Zero'd.
So in these calls i made them aware my boiler was going in from the 10th February.
SO i decided to switch, as i thought the customer service (waiting for almost 1 hr twice) and billing system was unacceptable.
So a final bill comes in yesterday, for £430 estimating usgae from 6th DECEMBER 2013:shocked::shocked:
Why are they insistent on this, even though i have told them no gas before 10th February.
Needless to say another call, and i was advised to ignore the letters, whilst they wait for the final read to come from Ovo to them....
I guess we will now cue the threatening letters for non payment.....
