hi
can anyone offer any advice please.
Equity in finance sent me the forms to sign to follow up on PPi from Lloyds, I stupidly signed and returned the forms, however nothing happened for a long time, then out of the blue Lloyds sent me a cheque, now equity want their 40%. The fact Lloyds sent me the cheque direct has obviously thrown a spanner in the works from their point of view. My question is where do I stand, do I have to pay them the 40%?
thanks

Yes, if you agreed to pay them in the event of successful claim.0

I am afraid you do, this is why we do not advocate the use of claims companies on this site, they only do what you can do for free.
You signed a contract with them and they expect payment, if you are suffering hardship, contact them and ask for a payment plan, they may not agree to this and please be aware that they can take you to court for non payment.0 -

No. That is the normal way the redress is paid.My question is where do I stand, do I have to pay them the 40%?
What do you think? You employed them. you have to pay them.I am an Independent Financial Adviser (IFA). The comments I make are just my opinion and are for discussion purposes only. They are not financial advice and you should not treat them as such. If you feel an area discussed may be relevant to you, then please seek advice from an Independent Financial Adviser local to you.0 -

If you don't pay their bill, you can expect debt collectors and ultimately court action.0
