Samsung Galaxy battery failing

My wife has an 11 month old Galaxy tab and the battery now only holds a charge from full to 10% for 2 hours - it used to last 8-10 hours
Is there any reason why it should not be returned to PC world under warranty for a fix ?

Dont think battery's come under the twelve month warranty as they are consumables and may have been wrongly charged or used so much they are life expired .
But check that and i would be personally trying a return even so .

The battery is a vital part of a tablet - so it should be covered
It is in the US :http://www.samsung.com/us/support/service/warranty/SPH-P100ZKASPR)
I have found http://www.samsung.com/uk/support/warranty/ that tells me that a battery is limited to 6 months in the UK - which seems slightly unfair to me
So - its looking like a trip to PC World

It is classed as a consumable .
The Samsung warranty terms are a second limited warranty and not the warranty terms you are returning to the vendor under SOGA.
