TSB Platinum Credit Card - Payments issue

Hi Guys
Hoping I can get some help on here...it's usually my go to place for these questions.
For some reason I can't actually pay my Credit Card off any other way than by Direct Debit.
On the website now I have the card it's seemingly telling me that I can only pay off the Credit Credit with a one off payment/pay online if I have a TSB current account.
I'm sure that';s rather questionable.....I have a Direct Debit setup, but I want to be able to pay my CC off when I have extra cash. It seems I can't.
I'm going to contact them when their "help"line is open...but after anyone who knows if a) this is something that can be questioned (sounds dodgy) and b) is this standard for them?
Non of the pre-amble mentioned this that I can remember?!?

I'm guessing you either a) haven't had your first statement yet, or b) haven't turned it over to see what's on the back of it?
If you look closely (at the box marked "How do I make a payment?", or similar) you'll see they provide a sort code and account number. Use these, along with your 16-digit card number as the 'reference' to make a faster payment using your own (non-TSB) bank's online banking interface.0 -
Its all done online now. Lloyds have updated their internet banking and you can overpay online easily.Current DebtNet Monthly Pay £2550[STRIKE]Barclaycard £0 / £2500 (23.9%)[/STRIKE][STRIKE]Lloyds Credit Card Settled[/STRIKE]

I may have thrown you when I mentioned Lloyds (now edited my post), but it doesn't sound like the OP has a current account with TSB (who are the card provider)?DebtFree14 wrote: »Its all done online now. Lloyds have updated their internet banking and you can overpay online easily.0 -

Oh I see. Even though they may not have a current account I would have thought that they were still entitled to Internet banking?Current DebtNet Monthly Pay £2550[STRIKE]Barclaycard £0 / £2500 (23.9%)[/STRIKE][STRIKE]Lloyds Credit Card Settled[/STRIKE]
