Whats the right way of returning a mobile contract

I wish to return a ipad tablet and myfi - which is ment to be free contract on Onecom but have read up that they are NOT a good company and seeing as i dont trust that its totally FREE for 24 months and dont need IPad mini and myfi.

I am a Vodafone personal customer and onecom wanted to add this to my account.

How long have you had the ipad and myfi?

What does your contract say about termination?

Not sure you can cancel the contract. I suspect the service has begun..

Having a wee google there's lots of examples of these been offered for free, when in fact it's costs £x on top of your Vodafone contract.

If you have been missold then you may have a case as there's lots of dodgy examples of this company on google. It's certainly not a free iPad...

Was it bought at a distance? Have you used?

If it was sold to you in store then you can't cancel, if you have been using it you can't cancel. if you haven't been using it but have had it for over 7 working days you can't cancel.

A bit more info on when and how it was bought is needed.

This post that the OP made yesterday contains a lot of background information:

On yet another thread the OP says:
...have opened package but all items still sealed.
  • Got call from onecom as i was great vodafone customer with 4 lines that they could offer me a totally FREE ipad mini and 2gb myfi - arrived friday 11th april - have only opened parcel - all items all still sealed.
Called onecom today to cancel and bloke could not understand why i do not want a FREE ipad mini !!!...that it was totally free that i could give away to friends or family...for 10 minutes this went on and in end he agreed to pass info over to end contract.
