Dear all,
I couldn't attend my meeting with my job centre adviser as I had to go to court for my bankruptcy hearing.
Despite calling them days before, am & pm, to which there was no answer and no means to leave a message, I finally got through after my day in court.
The National centre passed on an e-mail apparently to my adviser.
A few days later I had to fill out a form explaining why I didn't attend- fine I thought.
But now, after 3 weeks of not being paid, I am told payment has been suspended, despite sending a letter of explanation and asking for a mandatory consideration to which I have no reply.
I mean, do these jobsworth expect me to sit chatting with the adviser, while some balliff takes the car & laptop?!
Does anyone know what I can do in terms of appeal, complain etc???
Thanks

Hmmn, if this is serious ...
You could have gone BR earlier, it seems odd that the only time you could do it was exactly the same time as your JCP appt, your debt did not accrue overnight.
As you gave submitted an appeal all you can do now is check they have received it and await the outcome.0 -

In case anything should happen in the future try and get your jobcentre's email address. All jobcentres should have one. That way you can e-mail them and at least have proof that you tried to contact them before the appointment. You can do this and still try and phone them or visit them in person.
As for an appeal, check your letter has been received. If it has, wait on the outcome. If the decision remains unchanged then appeal.0
