parents looking after house while away - do I loose ctb and single person ct discout?

Hi,

Going away and my parents are looking after my house for a few days. Will I have to stop council tax single person discount and council tax benefit?

    As long as they don't put themselves on the electoral register you shoud be okay!
  • No it won't. You don't have to declare this as they are very temporary visitors.
    These are my own views and you should seek advice from your local Benefits Department or CAB.
