Not sure if many have youngsters on here who are due to take SATS in May but it tok me an age to find past papers.

Here is a link to past Key Stage 2 Maths SATS papers from 2000-2005

These are the original papers.

Don't spend five pounds to dry clean a shirt. Donate it to the charity shop instead. They'll clean it and put it on a hanger. Next morning buy it back for two pounds.

  • How old are kids doing key stage 2? I haven't got kids but both my sisters have 2 each. I don't know anything about children! This may be of use to them though and I could forward it.

The children take their Key Stage 2 at 11 years old. But there are also Key Stage 3 for 14 years old too. Then the next is Key Stage 4 (GCSE) I believe. Maybe somebody could correct me if I'm wrong but there are none of those on there.

  • have just googled after reading this as my daughter is 14 so looked for key stage 3 and came across this info...

    USEFUL INFORMATION
    * Key Stage 1 SATs tests are taken in Year 2 by pupils aged 7
    * Key Stage 2 SATs tests are taken in Year 6 by pupils aged 11
    * Key Stage 3 SATs tests are taken in Year 9 by pupils aged 14

At age 11 (Key Stage 2), pupils take Levels 3-5. At age 14 (Key Stage 3), your child will sit tests depending upon their ability. In Mathematics, the levels are 3-5, 4-6, 5-7, and 6-8. In Science the levels are 3-6, and 5-7. And in English children sit one level, 4-7. The more difficult papers are the higher levels.

found this for stage 3 using the same link above but home page..

My daughter has done dozens of these past papers now and believe it or not she's actually looking forward (in a way) to the SATS in May. I think it is a case of practice makes perfect. When she started doing them her average mark was about 75%. Her last 3 papers have been over 90%. I know not everyone agrees with SATS but they do give you a good indication on how your child is getting on.

    Cheers
