Breach of lease, need advice

If you bothered to read the thread before passing judgement you would note that the floors have never been a problem to anyone...
...and a message to AndrianC, those grapes you're eating are a little sour, so you can both F*** off!
You still don't get it, do you? You are currently in breach of the lease, rugs or no rugs. You have always been in breach of the lease. You remain in breach of the lease. Others are in breach of the lease. You agreed to abide by that lease when you moved in to the flat. Whether the floors are an issue to anybody else or not is irrelevant. The management company have CHOSEN not to enforce that lease. Their decision. They may change that decision in the future.0 -

If it comes up again write a letter stating you are happy to comply as long as the other non compliant residents also are forced to change to carpet. You then want an independant assessment after all works complete to ensure that it has been done.I don't respond to stupid so that's why I am ignoring you.

A classic how to make enemies and store up trouble for the future scenario.0

yes because it was so inconsiderate of me to immediately replace the extractor fan (the cause of the problem) and to stand up for myself against a bullying corrupt mgmt company.
If you bothered to read the thread before passing judgement you would note that the floors have never been a problem to anyone
a) because my flat is on the ground floor
b) because they are good quality solid oak with sound reducing underfloor on concrete subfloor unlike the crap laminate it replaced.
It must be cold up there in your ivory tower.....and a message to AndrianC, those grapes you're eating are a little sour, so you can both F*** off!
I did read the whole thread. I thought it said more about your inconsiderate behaviour towards your neighbours and unwillingness to abide by a commitment you had made when buying your flat than it did about the management company, who seem to be acting properly in this case. Also, have you spoken with the neighbour to check whether the floor causes noise issues for her? It may have done so all along, but the fan was what prompted her to complain. It's a shame you choose to get angry and resort to insults rather than reflect on your own behaviour. I suspect, as another poster has pointed out, that you are simply storing up problems for the future by acting this way.0 -
The OP seems to present themselves as the reasonable sensible and maligned person but with theand a message to AndrianC, those grapes you're eating are a little sour, so you can both F*** off!whatever, i got away with it, now bite me!
indicates that they are from being that nice considerate neighbour.yes because it was so inconsiderate of me to immediately replace the extractor fan (the cause of the problem)
The reason why, and I would have pursued it, that wood floors are banned on ground floors as while there is no one except the mice to upset below, the absence of carpets means that sounds are reflected and not baffled ( similar to an empty room) which allows them to bounce around walls and ceilings and be transmitted to other adjoining flats next door and above. Underlay to hard floors does not stop that.Stop! Think. Read the small print. Trust nothing and assume that it is your responsibility. That way it rarely goes wrong.
Actively hunting down the person who invented the imaginary tenure, "share freehold"; if you can show me one I will produce my daughter's unicorn0 -

You seemed reasonable when you started the thread, or at least, reasonable in the sense that what you said made sense and I could empathise, even though you knew you were technically in breach of the lease.
This seem to have lost that, and a little respect towards anybody in a conversation goes a long way, regardless of whether you feel insulted (though I'm not sure why you do). I hope you realise this is why every post now will probably criticise you.
Somebody may even point out that somebody who says "bite me" is probably about 8 years and not even old enough to own a property.0 -
