Ford Finance for the discount

Options
Hi,
I will be retiring in the summer and need to buy a car (currently have business lease car). There are some serious discounts on Fords via Orangewheels.com, and therefore presumably from my local dealer with a good haggle! However, probably in common with other manufacturers, a big chunk of this discount is only available when taking Ford finance. I don't want to pay interest, although I would consider paying a small amount e.g. on one month's payment, since the discount would be considerably more.

Does anyone here know if I agree the finance to get the discount, can I cancel the finance without a penalty or would I have to start making monthly payments to keep the discount? If the latter, is there an early payment penalty?

I did this last year to get £2,000 off my new Focus. I had to pay charges for 6 months and was then able to pay it off. BTW I live in Sheffield but rang round and eventually found a fabulous deal at John Darke Ford at Louth who also matched internet prices.

I wondered if this was bordering on mis selling. I recently used some car broker sites in the hope they would introduce me to a dealer offering a good deal. I was astonished to find they added £850 to the price because I was not taking out the Ford Finance package. Is this two tier pricing legal? Is it practised in other sectors?
