Residual Interest

Just checking that so-called residual interest is nothing more than that.

Balance on last statement: £4400
Interest: £66
Account settled in full, 2 weeks after statement date and before payment due date.

Balance on current statement: £14 - all interest

Does this £14 residual interest seem about right. I won't quibble over the odd £ or two.

I ask because during the month I had a DD problem which resulted in a £12 charge, but now refunded. I'm wondering if this affected anything.
Thanks.

It looks too low to me.

£ 4400 at 18% = £2.17 interest per day. Which corresponds with your £66.00 from last month.

    Next month 14 days at £2.17 = 30.38.

You have no reason to complain being charged £14.00.
