State Retirment Pension

I already get my state retirement pension and my partner is due to get his next march. We currently co-habit but intend to get married in the near future but have a number of questions
1. If we continue to co-habit but don't get married, will we both get our individual pensions?
2. If we marry, will this affect our pension?
3. If so, are we better to get married before my partner retires or after (or doesn't it make any difference)?
Any help on this would be great.

You both keep your state pensions. It does not matter if yiou are civil partners or married. Congrat's on engagement etc BTW.0

So long as you are not getting your SRP via a previous spouse i.e. a deceased or divorced husband. If you are getting it via your own contribution record then there is no problem. You continue to get it as before.Ær ic wisdom funde, ær wearð ic eald.
Before I found wisdom, I became old.0
