Krakow- Cost of wine and Drinks

We normally enjoy at a bottle of wine with our meal. As Poland does not produce its own wine how much should we be expected to pay for a bottle of wine in a restaurant in Krakow. How much would a bottle cost in a supermarket there. Also what is the cost of a pint of beer which I believe is fairly cheap. We do not like Vodka so what are the other cheaper alternatives. Any information will be helpful.

I'm not sure about wine but beer and vodka are very cheap in bars and restaurants. About £1.60-1.80 for a pint (well, 500 ml) of Tyskie or Żywiec and a about pound for a shot of vodka. Just be warned that Polish beer is very strong and there's always a lot of different flavoured vodkas to sample so you are sure to find one that you like.
If you like whisky then try the Silver Whisky Pub just off the main square.
For beer, the http://www.houseofbeerkrakow.com/ has a huge selection from all over Europe.0 -

Yes, the £1.60-1.80 I quoted were for the main areas but if you explore the back streets, especially in Kazimierz, then you can get even cheaper.0
