    Afternoon all,

Up at 8 and spent the first hour making a huge tower of pancakes which were soon demolished by DGD2, DGS 2, friend and her daughter

DS1 and DDIL arrived back from their evening out with absolutely no praise with food in hotel, they did have a good night, they collected DGD and have headed off for a few days in Belfast area, although she thought that they were going home so it will be a nice surprise when they get there.

Need to get used to this b&&&dy arthritis ruling my life, I am so much slower and limited in what I can do, will not let it beat me, but will have to devise another way of working at most things.

Smoked salmon with salad and homemade brown bread for dinner so no cooking, made a sponge last night so that or yoghurt will be pudding.

M aking a bavby jacket to a pattern a friend gave me, has a yoke which is proving a bit tricky, but working it out will be my task for today, havent done one like it for about 40 years.

Hugs to Molly and JackieO and to anyone else in need

  • Had a busy morning catching up with washing and then we took MIL over to Dobbies in Bletchley, to say that I was underwhelmed is an understatement, got some new strawberry plants and that was it.

DH has gone to pick up DD from work and then they are both going swimming so a late dinner, but the meat is already cooked and the salad has been washed and is in the fridge so just a few new potatoes to do and dinner is ready.
I have just got in from potting some seedlings in the greenhouse, it is currently 80F in there :)

    (((Hugs))) Molly and JackieO xxxx

Off to make a peach cobbler for dessert so I will say BFN x

    Afternoon all,

if I fall asleep before midnight tonight someone kick me in the shins will you? I fell asleep yesterday after we'd been shopping and was still wide awake at 1am.

Went shopping for bits and pieces this morning.... mainly stuff for hubby and I could have quite easily stayed at home but it was too nice to go stay in. However, I'm as achey and tired now as I was yesterday so like I say, give me a kick if I dare fall asleep!

Lazy afternoon ahead of me. Hubby is in the shed/down the garden. 'Youngest' is off skating. Not sure what I'm doing for tea yet, could do with using some more of this gammon up but don't fancy it.

    Onwards and forwards,
    have a good evening all,

    Afternoon all,

What a beautiful day it's been. Glad we have heard from JackieO, and that you are now recovering ok. It must have been quite traumatic for you and the family last Tuesday.

LW - That is disgusting about your diagnosis and treatment but doesn't surprise me. It seems to be a theme running through lots of people's lives.

Had visitors this morning as its my birthday, it is so nice to receive cards from folks :) DH made me pancakes for breakfast then late morning we went up to the woods as I'd heard the bluebells were out. There were some but not the thick carpet I expected. We had lunch out in the Tesco cafe (we know how to live!) and are having Indian take away for dinner tonight which is my favourite :)

Have a good evening everyone :)

    Evening All :hello:
Have managed to catch up, although only 5minutes whilst the roast is cooking.
Beautiful sunny day here so have been making the most of planting on the allotment and doing some weeding, as I think many have been :)
Enjoyed a meal at the local chinese last night, as the pub we were going to was fully booked, was very tasty though.
Roast Chicken for tea tonight and have made an apple crumble for after.
Made another scarf yesterday - knitting mad haha! Currently half way through making the head band to go with this one.
Popping off to finish tea as it smells yummy.
    Have a lovely evening everyone.

Happy birthday busiscoming2. Sorry its a bit late, I did look through the birthday list this morning but I didn't see yours. Your birthday must not be in your profile... anyway I hope you've had a lovely birthday and have a lovely evening too. Although we don't have bluebells in our garden, the forget-me-not's are in full bloom. Last year I planted some pink ones and I'm looking forward to seeing them this year for the first time. they have grown pretty well, just aren't flowering yet.

Before I forget... this is for you.

No one kicked me, I fell asleep straight after my previous post. Once I woke up I had to race round like a headless chicken to sort the tea. Oh and yes, we had gammon.:(

    Have a good evening all.

Happy Birthday Busiscoming, and hope you enjoyed your day.
JackieO,so nice to hear from you-take it easy.
    Molly,hope you are home soon.
    LameWolf,hope you feel better soon.

Been out since this morning visiting our friend who has been in hospital, and then on to DH Aunt & Uncle who are getting very frail. She also has cancer which cant be treated, and though she was chatty enough and pleased to see us shelooked very pale and tired :(

While we were out I remembered I hadnt taken meat out for the roast so we had mince and chips instead rather than nip and buy something ;) No pud tho,& we like a pud on Sundays.Enjoy your evening x
