Usually cold water from tap but teenage daughters have introduced me to Garnier Micellar cleansing water - brill stuff.
Have never moisturised or cleansed and have made it to 50 with few wrinkles.0 -

I have acne, eczema and possibly rosacea although there's still some argument about that last one
. I found a few brands that I'm usually okay with so tend to stick with them.
I use (in order):
DHC olive oil deep cleanser
DHC face wash either pore minimizing (when it's on offer!) or washing powder
DHC mild lotion II (it's a toner)
An antibiotic lotion on prescription - think it's clindamycin but I can't remember right now.
Depending on how me and my skin are feeling, and what sales they've been having, I might follow that up with:
DHC Q10 moisturiser & DHC eye-off shade
or Simple age-defying something-or-other
or if my skin's really dry and sensitive, I empty a capsule of starflower oil into my palm, add a bit of water and use that.
I tend not to wear foundation, mostly because I'm still looking for one that's affordable, not orange, and doesn't give me spots. I'm told I have red/blue skin tones - the lady who told me that mixed up a foundation tester for me and it looked perfect, but was way too expensive and now I can't remember the company!:coffee:Coffee +3 Dexterity +3 Willpower -1 Ability to Sleep

Great thread. I love reading other peoples routines.
Morning - a hot flannel (no cleanser) followed by miceller water. Then Lancôme Dreamtone & whatever moisturiser I'm using (I spend on serums so don't worry too much re moisturiser.
Evening - remove make up with body shop oil, then cleanse usually with a balm (have an RMK one at the mo- beautiful rose scented) and use my Olay regeneration brush. Toner (Espa at present as had a voucher) then vissionairre. I do this when I put DS to bed at 8pm then I put a heavier night cream on about an hour later.
Make up varies hugely depending on mood/occasion but the basics are
Primer - Maybelline Baby skin at present
Est!e Lauder Doubke wear
Super drugs B powder
Lancôme hypnose star mascara and a peach blusher. I use highlighter a lot
I have a dupe of the Naked palette from Beauty Bay (their own) which I use most of the time.
I love my eyelash curlers which I always use except if I am in a massive hurry.
If I am having an at home day I just wear BB cream on top of my Dreamtone.0 -
I wash my face in the morning and evening with aqueous cream and warm water. In the morning I use Nivea moisturiser and a BB cream.
Make up is loose powder (Boots Natural collection) Bourjois blusher and mascara (various).
Sometimes use Palmers Facial Oil at night but not all the time. The aqueous cream is moisturising enough not to really need anything else.0 -
Reading the thread, I realise just how cheap I am to maintain!
I wash with cold water morning and night - I have to use the kitchen tap water from October to April as my skin gets sooooo dry once the heating goes on, and the water that hasn't been through the pipes is the only water that doesn't cause really tight + itchy skin. Then I moisturise with extra virgin olive oil.
I also use the evoo on my body.
I made a salt + oil scrub a while back, so use that every so often on my face and body.NST March lion #8; NSD ; MFW9/3/23 Whoop Whoop!!!0 -
Hi, I'm quite lazy really compared to lots on here eek
Wash with DHC olive oil deep cleanser (got it free) love it but far too expensive so I might try the Superdrug hot oil stuff as very cheap and fab reviews.
Moisturise with Superdrug Simply Pure 15 spf cream, no nasties or perfume and leaves my skin so nice and dewy plus really cheap.
Make up is Seventeen BB cream spf 25 also got this free, love it in light really suits my skin and not pricey, Superdrug £1 bronzer which is the best colour I've used.
Miss Sporty mascara pink tube £1.99 which is brill and makes my lashes very thick and long, cannot find better even with expensive ones.
I love the Bodyshop shimmer brick which I did get free but will buy again.
Eyeliner is a bronze one from Helen E which was on offer on here, black is too harsh for me and I think bronze brightens my eyes.
Then lips its Elizabeth Arden 8 hour cream and eyebrows and cheeks for a youthful look. I am 40
Night time is wipe (natural baby ones at Asda) or wash off my bit of makeup then coconut oil every night, other oils give me spots but this has never and makes my skin really soft plus helps keep lines away.
Phew seems a lot now I write it down, thought I was low maintenanceAll the free stuff is from the 3 for £1 magazine subscriptions I sign upto on here, I've had loads of brilliant stuff.

I'm quite 'flitty' at the mo I'm mainly using:
Am: Clinique liquid facial wash and 1 day a week: no 7 deep pore cleanser though I also have clarins mattifying wash, s&g peaches and clean and Emma hardie moringa balm on the go.
If I've used the Clinique, I'll 'exfoliate' with Clinique no 2 or Clinique sensitive and then I will use Clinique all about eyes and dramatically different moisturiser. If I've used the clarins, I'll use the matching toner and moisturiser and if I've used something else I will use either elemis pro collagen marine cream, the s&g one that looks like its in toothpaste tube (might be show good face?) or Elizabeth Arden eight hour cream
At the moment I'm tending to wear a boots 17 foundation that matches your skin tone and feels like a primer when it goes on
PM I'm using boots no 7 cleansing water and elemis pro collagen night creamNo more unnecessary toiletries Feb 2014 INS: 24 UU: 13. Mar 2014. INS: lost count, naughty step for me! UU: 80
