    Morning All
Does anyone else think doctors booking service has gone mad ?
I can't book an appointment, have to ring at 8 and if lucky eventually get through, then have to tell receptionist why I am ringing. Then have to wait for a phone call back from GP, which could be anytime all day, so doctor can decide if I need an appointment

    Utterly bonkers :(

How nice, having to divulge to the receptionist the nature of one's ailment - what if it's something personal relating to the downstairs area

Is this why people go on embarrassing bodies, because they can't get GP appointments any more

    Afternoon all

I think its bonkers but can also on the other hand understand why they do it (isn't there targets to hit?).
I needed an appointment for DD yesterday so you can either ring at 8am (an 0845 number!  ) or turn up at 8 and queue.
I take the second option as they serve the people in the queue before answering the phones. Earliest I got an appointment was at 4 o clock yesterday afternoon this way.
It does make me wonder how many spare appointments they actually have first thing when they open.
I'm lucky the docs is only 10 mins walk away.

I don't even have the option of queing, they won't even book an appointment when the doc has said they need to see you again after X number of days or weeks.

Currently waiting for a call back from this morning after having been told when collected my repeat prescription last Thursday, that I needed to see a doctor about some result :(

My friend had to do this last week, very embarrassing, as you say. when she got her telephone appointment and asked to be seen by a female doc you would of thought she had asked if she could sell her children.
  • Hello, been off dealing with RL for a while, running 4 separate businesses keeps me very busy, especially difficult when the kids are off school  but have managed enough lurking to be able to do a T shop this morning. I wanted to use a HH and had lots of other coupons too so my £41.58 shop ended up costing £29.88 with a £10 pp too :j They didn't have the rest of the £5 meal deal but still happy paying £2 for the massive bolognese bake on it's own. Huge thank you to all the OP's of the deals and to everyone else for sharing their finds and helping everyone out
