You bought from the farmer and butchered it yourself ?

Better meat than supermarkets ? Cheaper ?

I'm a carnivore and worked in a butchery counter whilst at school so nothing will but me off meat :)

    Thanks

The farmer took it to an a local butcher/abattoir and it was delivered to me in cuts/ joints/ steak/offal etc we used to buy half a lamb and quarter of a cow and paid about £120 many many moons ago:)

They were the recent £5 giveaway ones. Spend £30 and we will give you a £5 gift card. The terms and conditions say they were only valid for one month and must be used by 30th of April.

If anyone else has them lurking around, use them up before they expire.

I have just looked online and they have a blue cross sale on again. Have a look on there. Socks/pants/cheapo t shirts etc are cheap and you would get them free. I am sure they had Bayliss and Harding on clearance as well not too long ago.

Ach no pet, it's only one £5 per transaction. I cannae use them altogether.

Thanks to all for their advice. Muchly appreciated.

Will wait and see if the cat food is still on offer tomorrow. I'm going to get some for Auntie Barbz at work as she looks after loads of strays until they can get rehoused. Will be doing her a massive favour as she spends a fortune on food for them. :A

Oh I see. I had trouble using my £40 of Superdrug ones , they run out end of April so anyone who still has them better hurry up lol. I could only use one £10 at a time which was a pest but can t complain as they were free. Even though they were free I didn t just want to buy anything especially things I know are cheaper anywhere else as that kind of defeats the object. I don t find Suoerdrug a cheap shop either :o

I don t really know why I'm quite frugal as I don t need to be . Think it stems from childhood when we didn t have much . My dad died at 34 leaving my mum sister 5 and me 8. My mum trained as a teacher after that but I remember all huddling round a fire trying to get warm etc . My sister is n t like me though but that could be because she was a bit younger. :o

Has anybody been through the "new" Toddlers event in SADA? I've had a look & to be honest it's pretty useless, don't know if I've missed any bargains or what but from what I've seen it's quite disappointing

Packs of nappies are 3 for £12.

    That's good enough for me!
  • Yes I had a look today, the s/a was on the tannoy system going on about car seats, buy one for xxx but buy two for xxx it's a bargain!!!!!

    Nothing jumped into my trolley.

I'm still using up my packs of pampers wipes that I got from t's club card double up at Christmas:)
It just seems a bit pointless tbh, it's not exactly great price differences from other stores. I'm going to keep looking in every couple of days to see if it goes any lower but I'm not counting my chickens (being trying to find a way to get that into one of my posts) but yeah hope it does get cheaper
If only batman was here, he'd soon get you told
