(Using 2 nutri-grain APG's) I was really tempted to say 'hello' :rotfl:
Not me, I was in about lunch time (or dinner time for the dodgepots among us)

I think anything less than 90g of carb a day is considered low. 1g of carb contains 4 calories and same for protein. 1g of fat contains 9 calories.
The basal metabolic rate (BMR) is a calculation to work out how many calories you need for your brain, heart, lungs etc to function - so if you lay in bed all day this is the calories you would need to stay exactly the same. The heavier you are the more you'll need. There are loads of calculators online. Go below this figure and metabolism will slow and the body will start eating up muscle.
Muscle is a liability and fat is essential.
When you wake in the morning your body really only needs protein. The body is quite happily in a ketosis state (using fat as fuel) so why would you want to load up on carbs if you are going to sit in an office all day. Stretch that state till lunch?
White bread is higher on the glycemic index than a snickers bar :eek:
I read this book:

To me, it makes a lot of sense, it's not about counting calories. A good read if you want to know the ins and outs of how hormones work or work against us.
Did Tinshoes house sale go through?

They are still on the kitchen work top lined up in flavours, labels to the front. I was a bit annoyed as the Summer fruits one was just one short of two rows:o

Why doesn't clucky open an account?
And how did nectar bingo go?Apparently, everybody knows that the bird is [strike]the word[/strike] a moorhen0 -
I know nectar often has £15 off first £60 order. The mobile app is offering 3000 nectar points. That could be worth £30 in the double up that starts tomorrow
I know its not our shop of choice but could be good for someone (assuming the points get added immediately)
Does anyone have any experience of whether this combines with a £15 off code? I know the tills let you use bonus points and conditional spends together.....
Eta. T&cs say points added within 28 days. Prob going to miss the double upApparently, everybody knows that the bird is [strike]the word[/strike] a moorhen0 -

Kids!! :rotfl::rotfl::rotfl:
When I went to pick up DS2 from school earlier, a little lad walked up to me and said 'xxxxx might be late out of school today, he's been stabbed in the head with a pencil and has gone to the medical centre':eek::eek::eek:, so I ran into school to find out what was going on. I was properly flustered!
The lady at the front office eventually located him in the student support area, He was a bit distressed but not physically hurt in any way at all. PHEW! It turns out that someone threw a pencil at someone else and his head was in the way!Apparently the way he reacted make everyone in the class think he'd been badly hurt. He was hysterical and completely over reacted
:(
Between the incident and school finishing.....the story about the head stabbing has spread through school and obviously got taken home and told to parentsand Ive spent all evening answering phonecalls and texts from people who 'have heard what happened'
