They're 8.5g of carb for a little pack... the lowest carb crisp i can find. I cant not have crisps so these are ideal

I'm trying not to go over 35-40g a day for the next two weeks. I dont think that my body could cope with much less than that :o
I can lose if I keep it to 50g or less.

    10g is HARD!

Maybe set a compromise for yourself and go up to 25g and see how you get on?

The nausea and headache may well have been caused by so called "carb flu". The thought of it scared me too much so I wouldnt go down that low

I live on total 0% greek yogurt :D I tried the full fat one and it was nicer but it bunged me up something chronic :o

Can I chuck my two penneth worth in? Just my understanding of what I have read.

I think anything less than 90g of carb a day is considered low. 1g of carb contains 4 calories and same for protein. 1g of fat contains 9 calories.

The basal metabolic rate (BMR) is a calculation to work out how many calories you need for your brain, heart, lungs etc to function - so if you lay in bed all day this is the calories you would need to stay exactly the same. The heavier you are the more you'll need. There are loads of calculators online. Go below this figure and metabolism will slow and the body will start eating up muscle.

Muscle is a liability and fat is essential.

When you wake in the morning your body really only needs protein. The body is quite happily in a ketosis state (using fat as fuel) so why would you want to load up on carbs if you are going to sit in an office all day. Stretch that state till lunch?

White bread is higher on the glycemic index than a snickers bar :eek:

    I read this book:

    http://www.amazon.co.uk/Starts-Food-Discover-Whole30-Unexpected-ebook/dp/B008C20TDG/ref=sr_1_1?s=books&ie=UTF8&qid=1398185730&sr=1-1&keywords=it+starts+with+food

To me, it makes a lot of sense, it's not about counting calories. A good read if you want to know the ins and outs of how hormones work or work against us.

Carver ham is no longer showing 2 for £3 in Tosco. Not sure if it will still work as it wasn't comparing at that price anyway, it compared at £2.94

How do the weights differ between A and T? That could have been an adjustment to make them like for like
