We do to. I have a if OH had no job budget. We are about living that way the now as we are paying down our mortgage. reducing the actual monthly payment instead of the term for now.

I would ditch Sky etc in a heartbeat if needed to. I have my plan !! Been there done that before. I could be living life of riley if wanted to I guess, my hubby earns a great wage but I always seem to wait on that brown fan !!

This is so the way to go IMHO Bananababe and is exactly how we managed to get our mortgage paid off. We now live on DHs wage plus my very erratic freelance earnings but because we only buy what we can afford and don't have expensive tastes we are very happy with our lifestyle.

Chicken curry on the hob now, made from scratch :D

Smells lush, and I've still got a bit of a cold and my sense of smell hasn't quite come back properly yet

Tomorrow's lunch is chicken curry salad :rotfl: low carb and mighty tasty :D

I had an interesting 'conversation' with one mum at the school gate once. She was chain smoking, complaining about how they had not decorated her council house for two years and all the paintwork was yellowing (I wonder why!) and saying she was going to 'go round the council and shout at them till they give me more money for uniform'. I couldn't help myself and pointed out that chain smoking probably did not help the finances, along with the designer trainers and track suit, which was an unfortunate choice considering her size, the stream of expletives that came out was quite ridiculous! She said it was up to her what to spend the money on and she had a right to get as much as she could off the council because she was disabled with asthma too!!! Little wonder with the smoking, but the attitude of some people takes a lot of believing!

Hahaha, now you guys know what I have to deal with at work everyday!

I must admit the designer sports gear does get on my tits. The clients wear items I can't afford! It's all Adidas Originals this and Reebok something or the other that. Anyway, with all the benefit caps coming in, they will have to start wearing basics or Primark clothes soon.

Hope everyone has had a good day. It's been chucking it down up North. Back to work tomorrow and I am dreading it.

Thanks to the OP of the Colgate MOC idea. Worked a treat for me (twice) so I'm well stocked up with high-end toothpaste! (Also low end Boots toothpaste if we ever run-out !!!).
  • Scottishshortie 100% agree, MIL has been on this for a few years & I used to do the odd glitch/womble but laughed quite hard @ her for having 200+ toilet rolls, 100's of yoghurts & so many other laughable things she had in her house but I've been battling some serious MH issues & couldn't hold my good paying job down so lost it on the 23rd of December & then found out me & my OH are expecting our first baby so started looking through this & I've done a few glitches on my own & now introducing the DD into wombling. Thankfully the OH has a good job, so even though we are in excess 22k down we're really not too bad but limit the most that we can in anticipation of baby

Usually as long as the turkey steak by itself would take

Hope you didn't do what I did and put too much cheese in them :o
