Scored a 147 whilst playing snooker today.

Please note: all points were scored via my opponent's fouls.

  • This thread has been a lifesaver for me more than once I don't go for every glitch because I couldn't afford it plus would only be buying for the sake of it I don't drink and live in Scotland so don't do alcohol glitches just get what I need to keep me going knowing that I could easily lose my job and be unemployed so I keep my lifestyle simple
Scottishshortie 100% agree, MIL has been on this for a few years & I used to do the odd glitch/womble but laughed quite hard @ her for having 200+ toilet rolls, 100's of yoghurts & so many other laughable things she had in her house but I've been battling some serious MH issues & couldn't hold my good paying job down so lost it on the 23rd of December & then found out me & my OH are expecting our first baby so started looking through this & I've done a few glitches on my own & now introducing the DD into wombling. Thankfully the OH has a good job, so even though we are in excess 22k down we're really not too bad but limit the most that we can in anticipation of baby
If only batman was here, he'd soon get you told

Loved playing snooker by the way...started off with some American pool then went on to the big tables.

There was one table there that was 120 years old!

:(All further receipts for the checking are still awaiting their 3 hours. My least favourite item of the day is compost. They're all buying that, in the supermarkets, perhaps not unreasonably given the time of year, but buying little all else with it (or even them:eek: sometimes) and it doesn't count as an APG item:(:(. That and the nasty reduced items, grrr!:rotfl:

My mum used to love rhubarb crumble, afraid I'm not so keen. :o Lots of cream or custard if I do have a little bit.

Pic made me smile elsie I happen to have the exact same heat saver or whatever they are called sat in the middle of my kitchen table. ;)

I wondered if anyone would notice......
Also the black tea coffee sugar behind, did you notice? Put these in pic on purpose too. Wasn't it a while back. :rotfl: And were those lidded dishes 4p or 8p, so long ago I can't remember. I managed 2 for me and one each for my sis and folks, so didn't do too bad there. And we all have the Union Jack heat savers too. :rotfl:
I'm also still using the cheap cutlery, and have a few white mid size white value plates, perfect size for toast. Can't remember anything else but no doubt there's more. :T

I had an interesting 'conversation' with one mum at the school gate once. She was chain smoking, complaining about how they had not decorated her council house for two years and all the paintwork was yellowing (I wonder why!) and saying she was going to 'go round the council and shout at them till they give me more money for uniform'. I couldn't help myself and pointed out that chain smoking probably did not help the finances, along with the designer trainers and track suit, which was an unfortunate choice considering her size, the stream of expletives that came out was quite ridiculous! She said it was up to her what to spend the money on and she had a right to get as much as she could off the council because she was disabled with asthma too!!! Little wonder with the smoking, but the attitude of some people takes a lot of believing!

    Useful kitty/turkey filler:

    TvA:

TESCO STRONG KITCHEN FOIL 300MMX 20M
    £2.50 £2.00 n/a n/a

Good price for strong foil (not the wrapping type). This comparison doesn't show on MSM or MSL ! Discovered it by chance when checking my PP.
