If you spend over £40 you can use the HH ... giftcards (possibly not T's own) count towards the spend ;). So for example, 2x£25 3v will let you spend £5 HH (CS till operator willing ... as if they read the T&Cs on the voucher they shouldn't let you use them!).

    £50 for £45

Thank you Anon, :T can I use more than one HH on a £40 if purchasing gift cards ? x
  • I work for an organisation which gives out food bank vouchers and I can assure you we are quite rigorous in checking eligibility. We have also started making them conditional on booking a session with a financial capability worker to help them look at managing their money and ensuring all relevant benefits are being claimed. Not everyone attends the appointment booked but at least we are making sure people are aware that the help is there.

Financial Education as well as vouchers. Exactly as it should be done :T

Financial Education whilst as school is something Martin Lewis constantly voices and he's right, it should be done. I'm sure lots of people wouldn't get into the mess they do if they understood the value of finance and the implications of getting it wrong.

Obviously not all hardship is self inflicted and it could happen to anyone at anytime, but for a lot it's self imposed.
