It doesn't become a criminal matter once bailiffs are appointed. It is still classed as civil dispute. Police officers may be asked to attend where there is a possibility that a breach of the peace might occur or any other criminal offence (by a debtor or a bailiff) may occur. They have no powers at all where the execution of the warrant is concerned.

The rules for bailifs were tightened up in some areas in the last couple of weeks. Not nearly enough in my opinion. Not enough to stop them breaking the law and using some shocking tactics to obtain what they're owed

Got a boxset of Game of Thrones that everybody says I should watch, including the lovely Mrs Zag. Anybody think i should hold out any longer or start watching it. :cool:
