Just drove past the bungalow on the way back from paying off my mortgage and removal van there. Very weird feeling is all I can say. :eek:

I spent couple hours there this morning saying my goodbyes to an empty house, laid on the floor like I did when I was a kid staring up at the ceiling. And sitting in the sunshine on the concrete step outside. Had to be done one last time.

Left when I felt ready to as was all such a rush getting it empty yesterday. As soon as I walked back in the door at home I got the completion call.

Hope no one minds hearing this tune again but today really is a new day for me and I was very lucky the sun was shining.

What a day of mixed emotions for you. With one hand your Mum's house is gone and with the other you are mortgage free. Sad and happy all at the same time. I know what a tough time you had when your Mum was ill and although you miss her at least she is at peace. I am sure she would have been pleased you have cleared the mortgage.
All sorts of shenahigans going on today about my Mum coming home from hospital but I will save asking for advice for another day. Hugs from me.

Missed the last couple of days, I see there are some glitches occurring though As tempting as it is, I shan't be partaking. We're on a shoestring budget this month and it seems like a long way until payday :eek:

Right back a few pages I go to catch up, I could be some time!

The pair of shoes at the bottom of the stairs on boxing day belonged to her. The first time we saw her, was the following morning when she joined us for breakfast in DS2 reindeer onsie. She is his first girlfriend (phew... he was getting on a bit) I think she has moved into our house!

Well, 19 items sold on the receipt. That'll be... fewer than 8 different ones then?:( Buying multiple crap - numerous £1 Easter eggs, £1 Easter gifts, expensive Lindors at £1.30 each:eek: (they even bought 2 of those:eek::eek:), just hopeless. In a word.:)
