I just want to say a huge thank you to the people that sent me messages of support and for your kind posts earlier.

I've never visited this thread before ( I only came in today after I saw a really good post from a regular ), but on a difficult day for me you have put a smile on my face.

It's great to see such a popular thread on MSE without the usual trolls and troublemakers.

What a great bunch of people :)

Welcome to the thread. My thoughts are with you today. :A I support another team but I think that we all come together when things like the Hillsborough disaster happen and all become football rather than club supporters.

I have a particular reason to be grateful to a couple of Liverpudlians. Years ago I was a visiting supporter at The Lane. A barrier went down and I got crushed when the people behind me surged forward. I ended up on the ground being trampled on and losing consciousness. My last thought was how can all these people be standing on me without knowing how much they were hurting me. I didn't realise at the time that the crush was so bad. Afterwards I found out that two Liverpudlians had pulled me out and got me onto the pitch where the ambulance people took over. According to the paramedics their action saved me from much greater injury and thanks to them, I am alive today. Sometimes, no words can say thank you enough to strangers.:A

Thanks for the kisses, but no need. We all save so much cash by being members of the elite that it should be second nature for us all to throw the occasional couple of quid the way of charities and good causes.
After all, a couple of weeks ago, I bought in excess of 100 bottles of Dr Pepper, Sprite and Fanta for less than 0p. My way of looking at it is that normal people would have spent in excess of £100 buying the same thing, so I am well ahead and should give something back.
Just think, If all the elite and all the lurkers did the same, charities would be coining it in..:D
