Santander may or may not have mi-sold his investment. However, they are offering people who think they may have been to early exit without penalty if they wish to do so. If they are happy with the investment then they can hold on to it. The actual terms of the investment are unchanged.I am an Independent Financial Adviser (IFA). My DH has used similar words (fleeced, unscrupulous salesmen) when referring to an IFA and his advice. I have not suggested he complain about the value of his investment falling, as he declined to listen carefully to explanations of risk, or to read the small print before signing paperwork, or to take on board the cost of the advice.
It was just unfortunate that he invested in 2007, not long before the crash.
Sometimes you just have to take the rough with the smooth. Using emotive vocabulary does not in itself justify a complaint.0
