Royal mail lost my package.

Hi,

I got one of those royal mail cards through door saying that as I wasn't in to collect my item at local sorting office.

Daughter said she would pick it up but forgot and then went away for a day with the card in her bag.

I went to the local office with my passport and a bank statement and they said they couldn't give it to me without the card that came though the door. A bit pi***d off with this as the postman has in the recent past left item on my bathroom window, and they want to adhere strictly to rule at sorting office, but obviously it doesn't go as far as the postman.

Anyways even though I had passport and a bank statement and could tell them where the package was from (book) they stuck to the rules and wouldn't budge.

Anyways been back with card today to collect package and guess what, they can't find it!

Only a small value item, not recorded or signed delivery or anything, a book less than £3 but I just feel fed up with them
