UKPC Charge in Scotland

Contacted by gordon and noble regarding retail park charge in scotland. They informed advice provided by money saving expert is inaccurate and next stage will be court where the charge will go from £140 too £400. Any advice will be appreciated as I have destroyed all previous correspondence from them

I take it then that you have never responded to anything regarding the parking charge?
If that's is the case - in Scotland keeper liability doesn't apply and they can only pursue the driver - but as they don't know who that is and you are under no obligation to tell them - they are stumped.

All this information is in the link I gave you

and by the way UKPC don't even do court in England and Wales let alone Scotland

It's not going there as I said in the other thread, ukpc are utterly inept and never do claims in England and Wales let alone Scotland. There is no keeper liability up North so they don't even know who too take there! And these debt collectors are exactly the same as the ones down south!

Now stop believing or contacting people who's sole interest is just to get money off you. Now don't write to them , don't respond to them , and certainly don't speak to them on the phone.

We have no financial interest in you paying these lying scum, they do! Now decide who too believe.
When posting a parking issue on MSE do not reveal any information that may enable PPCs to identify you. They DO monitor the forum.
We don't need the following to help you.
Name, Address, PCN Number, Exact Date Of Incident, Date On Invoice, Reg Number, Vehicle Picture, The Time You Entered & Left Car Park, Or The Amount of Time You Overstayed.

Ha-ha! Looks like they are running scared. :D

Just ignore the bams and if they call you again, instruct them to keep all communication to letter and then ignore that.

As long as they don't know who the driver was G&N are going to get nowhere with this.

Even if they do know because the OP has let it slip in some way, it can be beaten on the usual no genuine pre-estimate of loss grounds.

But it'll never come to that.

Continue to ignore and do not respond in any way at all.

    Where is this retail park?

Did you reply to any of the previous correspondence or tell them who the driver was?

No problem then Supernurse - ignore away.

There's Tesco, Argos and loads of other major names there, but the owners are Legal & General.

They haven't got their head round the Laws of Scotland yet.

    Tell them nothing.

    Hi Supernurse,
As you read in my post, I am at the same stage as you. I have now had 2 voicemails and a letter from G&N but have ignored all. I will watch your post with interest and let you know if I have anything further to add.

There's really no need to worry and anyway this is covered in the NEWBIES thread at the top of the forum. Nothing has changed - in Scotland & NI the advice is still to ignore it and I posted there a link to the Watchdog video that shows people what to do with a fake PCN if you are in Scotland or NI, seeing as you don't have POPLA.
PRIVATE 'PCN'? DON'T PAY BUT DON'T IGNORE IT (except N.Ireland).
